Terms of Service

1. Agreement
By creating a Waveatrade account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms form a binding contract between you and Waveatrade Ltd(company number [REPLACE WITH COMPANIES HOUSE NUMBER], registered at [REPLACE WITH REGISTERED UK ADDRESS]).
2. Definitions
- “Service” — the Waveatrade website, mobile app, and any related services.
- “Homeowner” — a user who posts jobs seeking a tradesperson.
- “Tradesperson” — a user offering trade services (e.g. plumber, electrician).
- “Content” — any text, image, or other material posted by a user.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use the Service. By signing up you confirm you meet both conditions.
4. Account registration
You must provide accurate information at sign-up and keep it current. You are responsible for the security of your login credentials. You may not share your account. You may close your account at any time from the profile page.
5. Tradesperson verification
We verify documents such as photo ID and public liability insurance where tradespeople provide them. Verification does not constitute a warranty of skill, quality of work, or suitability. Homeowners remain responsible for their own due diligence before hiring.
6. Jobs, quotes, and contracts
When a Homeowner accepts a quote, a direct contract is formed between the Homeowner and the Tradesperson. Waveatrade is not a party to that contract and does not act as agent, employer, or guarantor for either side. We do not process payments.
7. User conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- violate any UK law or regulation;
- harass, defame, or threaten another user;
- post misleading, fraudulent, or spam content;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your qualifications;
- attempt to circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls;
- scrape, copy, or resell platform content without written consent.
8. Content you post
You retain ownership of Content you post but grant Waveatrade Ltd a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display that Content on the Service for the purpose of running the platform. You must have the right to post anything you upload.
9. Disputes between users
Any dispute arising from a job (quality of work, payment, conduct) is between the Homeowner and Tradesperson. Waveatrade is not obliged to mediate but may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
10. Termination and suspension
We may suspend or delete your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or pose a risk to other users. You may delete your account at any time. Some anonymised data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) the Service is provided “as is” with no warranties of any kind; (b) we are not liable for loss of profit, indirect or consequential loss; (c) our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to £100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
12. Intellectual property
The Waveatrade name, logo, and software are the property of Waveatrade Ltd. You may not use them without written consent.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app banner at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
